Evidence from medics in the Court of Protection (CoP) is “better”, CoP vice president Mr Justice Hayden had said. Commenting in a webinar, The Observer’s Dilemma, he said the evidence he hears from doctors is better and the protected person is better represented, partly as he is often invited remotely into the intensive care unit, which he said always adds something to his decision-making. Hayden J also admitted to the stress he particularly experienced in the first weeks of the pandemic because of concerns around how the technology would work.
